CHRONICLE SUMMER (continued)

"To do business, we must today be American, but if we glad to be clever, we might as well be French. "

Boris Vian

few glimpses of blue sky to ease the gloom expertly maintained by our media-political Cassandras always full of imagination when it comes to rent mediocrity, timidity and irresponsibility of those who govern us, want to govern ourselves or we have already (hélas..) governed.

First congratulations to our two mathematicians Cédric Villani and Ngo Bao Chau whose work were awarded the Fields Medal, the Nobel equivalent for mathematics. These children Pascal and Descartes remind us that our country has the capacity to become again the great country it has long been in past centuries ....... It's never too late to react.

A chronicle full of vitality and hope appeared this morning in Le Figaro penned by Xavier Fontanet, president of Essilor "Breaking the stones or build cathedrals? ".
One can only applaud the message of confidence and optimism issued by this article extolling the virtues of French companies " privileged place where you can contribute to society, to develop themselves and participate actively in globalization " .

How not to applaud this "positive energy" that emerges from reading these few lines when it comes to confidence of talent, of initiative of value and success! .. Infrequently used vocabulary lately.

"Grow yourself Because the company is the place where one takes responsibility, where each decision sharpens a little more ability to judge where we can learn from its failures and gain confidence through their success ......... The companies are all able
convert all these talents into positive energy, an essential condition confidence. trust in others, trust in the company and, ultimately, self-confidence. "

CHRONIC FATIGUE SUMMER

" Brain hemorrhages are less common among footballers, the brain too! ".

Pierre DESPROGES

Thoughts authorized each year as the parenthesis of August in our beautiful country of France.

The slow, inexorable descent into hell of it continues month after month. Economic policy timid, bloodless finance, politics woeful mediocrity, punctuated by daily media racket vulgar and catchy, galloping insecurity that plagues our cities and countryside and gives rise to a left-right debate that has some of the demagoguery of matched only by the dishonesty of others (and some others are interchangeable !....), all contribute to give a sad image of a country which, even forty years ago, was one of the biggest world powers.

Until French football, popular sport if any, long respected by our adversaries around the world, which became the laughingstock of the world, tarnishing the image a little more of our country. Players vulgar and uneducated, with ego, glory-hungry and money, have insulted their country by their unspeakable behavior during the last World Cup in South Africa.

It is often said that sport is a good indicator of the strength or weakness of a country. So is it for France: the contrast between football, his utter failure and disgrace, and the aura of fine athletic success of our athletes at the recent European Championships in Barcelona last July (not to mention the swimmers Budapest!) Is not the image of our country: France discreet who works and earns the respect for work well done, and another mediated France, led by a government where the political courage was expected given way to an occasional demagoguery promoted by a democracy of opinion ever more powerful?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

"You can always go one step further, always!".

WORK!

Encore "value" disappears and joins the long list of words "not politically correct" WORK! the occasion of the debate on retirement hilarious idea was put forward to reflect the arduous labor, reasonable standard when addressing interlocutors themselves reasonable. Except that we are in a country that has lost all sense of effort and hence any pride, which has earned us an extraordinary unpacking, widely publicized on the part of all who require to enter the category of workers in "a difficult job." We discover that a bank officer is hard work because he must do something for a client that !....., having to make 1 / 4 hour ride to get to his work made it painful !...., etc, etc. .... Should we laugh or cry?
Our president believed that seduce the French with his proposal "work more to earn more" has more than her crying! Martine Aubry surely retain the lesson and we will propose in 2012: "work 30 hours per week for a pension at age 50" .... Guaranteed success!
It reminds me of a symposium held in Martinique in 1994, whose subject was: WORK FATIGUE! At that point I thought blandly that only applied to only Caribbean ......
"The work is often the father of pleasure"
VOLTAIRE
"should work in companies have the same rights as the capital."
de Gaulle (1944)
